The Model 3, is the most popular in the Tesla’s line-up and is reasonably priced and affordable.

Many people have been put on a reservation list, in order to buy a back-ordered Tesla Model 3. It is undeniable that, this model is still the finest luxury EV, because of its price value.

It has been said that, due to the delay, UK buyers won’t be able to buy the new 2023 Tesla model 3, until 2024.

People are not expecting Tesla to make any big changes to the 2023 Model 3, until later in the year. Meaning that, the new model will most likely have identical specs and range to the current one.

The new 2023 model 3, is expected to have;

  • A range between 272 miles (Base) and 358 miles (Long Range)
  • Rear-wheel drive (Base) or all-wheel drive (Performance/Long Range)
  • 0-60mph in as little as, 3.1 seconds.
  • a spectacular panoramic glass roof with retractable skylight
  • Heated seats at the front and rear
  • Heated controls on the steering wheel
  • 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system

Tesla has won many awards. This is because of its superb performance, safety features and design. This is the reason why, many people can’t wait to buy the new 2023 Model 3.

2. Hyundai Ioniq 6

The Hyundai Ioniq 6, looks very similar to the Tesla Model 3, at a first glance. However, the Ioniq 6, is undeniably unique, with its cocoon-like interior and its super fast charging.

The Ioniq 6 interior, is spectacular. It is fitted with LED lighting, which gives it a smart luxurious feel to it. The digital dashboard, is combined with a 12 inch touchscreen and 12 inch digital cluster. The middle of the dash, has a storage control that has been made flat, this is so that you can rest a laptop on it. Which is perfect for whilst you are waiting for your vehicle to charge. Which gives you the opportunity to continue working, or even watch a film.

It is fitted with a 77.4kwh battery, which gives it the capability to charge your laptop.

This luxurious Hyundai Ioniq 6, is also ideal as a family car, as it has plenty of interior space and a good size boot.

This unique Ioniq 6, has been awarded as; “The World Car of the Year 2023”!

3. Audi Q8 e-tron

The Audi Q8 e-tron, is a makeover of the e-tron SUV. There are many similarities with the Q8 e-tron and the e-tron SUV.

However, there are some visual upgrades. Like, the grill is fitted with a full-width light bar and some new designed alloy wheels.

Audi, also have a Sportsback version of the Q8 e-tron that is available. The Sportsback version looks more like a conventional SUV.

The Q8 e-tron’s cabin, is very similar to before. It is fitted with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, as well as an additional 8.6-inch touchscreen below it.

The Audi Q8 has a superb driving display, which has clear graphics that sits behind the new steering wheel. While the rest remains the same as the old version.

The market prices for the Audi Q8 e-tron, start from around £68,000.

4. BMW i4

BMW i4

The BMW i4, is fitted with a large kidney grille, which gives it, its mean look.

The i4 cabin has a plush finish like the other BMW models. It is fitted with a cloth seat trim, which comes standard. However, there is the leather option available for drivers, that want a more luxurious look and feel.

The well impressive curved display, combining the 12.3-inch instrument and 14.9-inch infotainment screens, gives it a sleek look.

With the sloping roof line, this gives taller passengers more height space, along with the doors opening wider, than standard cars, which also helps.

It also has a spacious boot and rear seats that fold down to give a flat floor.

The EV battery capacity is 80.7kWh, which claims to have a range of up to 366 miles.

This superb BMW i4, is fitted with cruise control and a reversing camera.

The BMW i4 has a price range of £49,995 to £71,085.

5. Nissan Leaf

The Nissan Leaf is know to be a good start of EV ownership. This is because, it has strong performance and a nice design.

There are different ranges available, however, the prices do vary. The standard 148bhp model can only manage up to 168 miles, where as the top of the range 214bhp Leaf e+, can manage up to 239 miles.

This EV is fitted with an angular front end, smooth grille-less bumper and an optional contrasting roof. A Sat-nav, smartphone mirroring and a digital driver’s display all come as standard, with the Nissan Leaf.

The rear seats don’t have much space, but 2 adults can sit comfortably, whereas, 3 adults would be a squeeze.

Fully charging the EV at a home charging point, using a 7kWh charger will take up to 6.5 hours. However, if you plug it into a 50kW rapid charger, it will get from 20% to 80%, in just 60 minutes on the standard model and 90 minutes on the e+ version.
