Annual Training & Assessment
Annual CPD Training & Assessments are to be done from the 1st April to 31st March, which is to be done yearly. s you may be aware.
All MOT Testers are obligated by the DVSA to take the Training and Assessments.

Did you know, that if your CPD training it is not completed by, the 31st December, the DVSA can mark this down as an area that needs to be improved.
All MOT Testers must complete 16 hours in total of CPD Training and 5 assessments over a 5 year period.
CPD TRAINING COURSE

The CPD Training Course, consists of a 3 hour course and an exam.
Every year the DVSA choose 3 topics as well as random categories / questions.
This has to be completed within the year (1st April 2022 – 31st March 2023).
MOT Testers / Managers Refresher Course

The MOT Testers refresher course consists of 2 days.
This type Course includes;
- MOT Manuals & Guides
- Practical demonstration
The practical demonstration is done in our on-site workshop.
The Managers Course is also 2 day course.

Remember that MOT testers are obligated to do MOT assessment training every year, otherwise the MOT tester will be suspended.
You must do this annually and pass an assessment, between 1st April and 31st March every year, in order to keep your tester status.
Here is what you are required to do;
- Decide how to do your training.
- Take at least 3 hours of training each year, and 16 hours in the rolling 5-year period.
- Keep a record of your training.
- Book your annual assessment.
- Take your annual assessment.
- Record your assessment result
Once you have past your assessment, you will then receive your certificate. You can check if your MOT certificate has been uploaded, by going on the UK government website.
